All members of the school community work together to support high student achievement at CPCS. In 2010, our students' proficiency rates on the NYS assessments were 10.6 percentage points higher in ELA and 15.5 percentage points higher in math than students who attended regular DOE schools in District 13. On the 2010 science test, 89.6% of CPCS 4th grade students were proficient. On the social studies test, 89.8% of our 5th graders received a proficient score.
Our students have historically been accepted into many outstanding middle schools including Phillipa Schuyler, Ronal Edmonds, Urban Assembly for Arts and Letters, Brooklyn Friends and Friends Seminary. Now that the school is expanding its own middle school, we look forward to working with the BwCF Alumni Program to ensure their placement in top performing high schools throughout New York City.
