CPCS Welcomes New Middle School Director PDF Print E-mail
Community Partnership Charter School (CPCS) has welcomed a new addition to its community, Keisha Rattray, who will serve as the Director for the new Middle School starting July 1.
Rattray is currently the Co-Principal of a high performing charter school located in Crown Heights, where she was also the Dean for the middle school grades and a founding teacher.  She also has taught reading, writing and social studies for five years at another charter school in the Bronx.

With more than ten years of teaching experience, Rattray is truly passionate about education. "I became an educator because I believe in the power of children, regardless of their age, to change the world," said Rattray, who taught kindergarten and grades two and five to eight.

Rattray wants to establish CPCS' middle school as one of the premier middle schools in New York. "My hope is that we are a school that anticipates students' needs, challenges, misunderstandings, and potential pitfalls. I hope to create a school where parents and teachers are able to work together to ensure success for our scholars," she said.

Rattray received her bachelor's degree in sociology with a concentration in secondary education from Long Island University's Brooklyn campus. She also holds a MS Ed from Bank Street College in early adolescent education.
